Son 23,000 muertos, de acuerdo a cifras oficiales las que ha dejado el ciclon nargis, en el Pais Asiatico de Mianmar (Antigua Birmania) y 43,000 desdaparecidos.

La noche del dia 2 de Mayo y la madrugada del dia 3,el ciclon Nargis devasto el Pais Asiatico.

La junta militar, acepto el jueves 8 de Mayo (sies dias despues de la catrastofe) la ayuda de emergencia de los E.U. para los damnificados, pero se dice, solamente permitio el arribo de un avion.

Extraoficialmente, se maneja la cifra de mas de 100,000 muetos y Millon y medio de damnificados.
