First Lady Lori Otter, who was in town for the Danny Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament, sat down with Plum's Karen Day. The First Lady discussed the preparations for the 2009 International Special Olympics, hosted by Idaho, and her work with the grassroots-funded Idaho Meth Project. The Idaho Meth Project (based on the Montana Meth Projects) seeks to "unsell meth" to by presenting the harsh realities of the drug to teens & young adults. The First Lady also shared her thoughts about life in the public eye and described her new trail horse, Cooper.

Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter, who was visiting the Wood River Valley to speak with local officials about the Castle Rock Fire & participate in the Danny Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament, took some time out of his busy schedule to sit down with Plum's Karen Day. The two discussed the current economic environment, the best plan for dealing with economic slumps, Idaho's amazing growth over the past 10 years as well as the governor's libertarian philosophy, his toughest challenge in government & his love of cowboy boots & all things rodeo.

Heather LaMonica Deckard, Glenn Janss and Ivan Swaner take us through the history behind Wagon Days during the 50th Anniversary of the event and parade. For this Wagon Days celebration, all past Grand Marshals were invited and honored, with Valley icon Glenn Janss serving as the Grand Marshal of this golden anniversary. Ms. Janss describes the selection as the greatest honor she has achieved and one that recognizes an individuals commitment and dedication to the community.

The Main Street Fire was a tragedy for the city of Ketchum & everyone in the Valley. Beloved historic institutions Whiskey Jacques & Dirty Little Roddy's were lost, seemingly forever. Business owners & residents share their thoughts on this terrible event.
