Baby Botanists

Make no mistake the girls who attend Sawtooth Botanical Garden's “Girls in the Garden” summer camp know their plants.

Point to a flower, any flower, and they can name it.

Can you tell the difference between a Columbine and a Scarlet Gilia?

Do know which plants you can eat and which plants you dare not touch?

Probably not; unless, of course, you’re a bonafide botanist or you’ve been to the Sawtooth Botanical Garden to take a class or two.

The Sawtooth Botanical Garden is a non-profit, public garden located in the Wood River Valley off of Highway 75 at the Gimlet turnoff. The Garden celebrates the unique and beautiful plant life of our region and offers variety of classes for children and adults.

If these little ones have inspired you, check out the Garden’s homepage to sign up for Fall classes.
