And, it wasn’t one of those tame, everyone home before midnight kind of parties; the last guests did not leave until 6 a.m.
Two hours later, at 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 19, along with the help of friends, he had cleaned out his entire house and left the premises.
Kipp’s problem, however, is not just being homeless. As a promoter of the Ski Tour, he has had other issues to deal with, such as the cancellation of the Coor’s Light Base Camp music series on Labor Day Weekend.
He was planning on going forward with the concerts in celebration of Ketchum’s survival and in honor of the brave men and women who fought to save it. Not only would firefighters attend the concerts for free, any and all profits from ticket sales would go to them.
There will be no events in Ketchum, including the music series, this Labor Day weekend due to the fire. For those who were anticipating this event, we will have to wait until this winter when Kipp brings back the Honda Ski Tour.
Have you been kicked out of your home and feel like a refugee in Ketchum? Is someone you know possibly the next Mother Teresa (at least when it comes to the Castle Rock Fire)?
Give us the scoop and we’ll publish it for all to see. To submit your fire story, email us at sveditor@plumtv.com. If you have pictures, send those too.
