You have less than one month to get an easy (and cheap) lift up Bald Mountain. For a mere $15.00 (or $7.00 if you’re under the age of 12), you can stand 9,150 feet above sea level without having to take a single vertical step. All you have to do is get on the River Run Express lift and enjoy the ride.If, however, you’re really brave and fit, you can also scale Baldy like a true mountaineer by hiking the 5.2 mile Bald Mountain Trail. Free of charge. And, after taking in the views from on high, you can catch the lift down to River Run Lodge. Again, no charge. (I guess someone at Sun Valley Company thinks you’ve earned it.)Regardless of how you summit Baldy, up top you’ll get breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains as well as a bird’s eye view of the cities of Ketchum and Sun Valley.
