Pick a Pumpkin, Any Pumpkin
Whether you are four or forty, everyone gets a kick out of the tradition of pumpkin carving. You can find pumpkins in all shapes and sizes at any of the three Atkinson’s locations or at Albertson’s in Hailey. Once you find that perfect gourd, take it home and carve away.
Ghostly Gifts
At Jane’s in Ketchum and Hailey, pick up a cute Halloween gift. We found fun decorated wands with a big “BOO!” perched on top for $18.50. This is perfect for someone who may not want to wear a full Halloween costume, but still wants to get in the spirit of things.
Cute Kid Costumes
What’s cuter than seeing the little ones, bundled up in costume? Well, puppies with ribbons in their hair, but that’s beside the point. The Toy Store in Ketchum and Hailey has walls full of kid’s costumes, everything from a pretty princess to a little penguin. Keep in mind it gets mighty cold on Halloween, so the more costume, the better.
For the Halloween Homemaker
There are numerous things you can do with a pumpkin. To get some ideas, check out “Holiday Pumpkins,” which you can find at Isadora in Bellevue. This book is chock full of recipe, gift and décor ideas, all revolved around pumpkins. Hang on to it; it will surely come in handy over Thanksgiving as well.
