To get you prepared, Silver Creek Outfitters offers an assortment of classes for beginner and seasoned fly fishers all taught by their highly trained and professional staff. Early Season Intro to Fly Fishing
This two-day school is designed for families, friends and individuals who are looking for a primer that will enable them to have a productive fishing season on all our area waters. Learn basic techniques in the classroom and then practice on the water. A range of topics will be covered including everything from knot tying and casting to proper fly selection.
Saturdays & Sundays: May 3 – June 1
Time: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Cost: $150
Intro to Fly Fishing
This class is a one-day course for the first time fly angler, or those who have never had professional instruction. The course starts in the classroom and finishes on the stream. Students will learn the basics including knot tying, fly selection, reading the water to find fish, casting, entomology and much more. Classes include full gear rental package and lunch. Idaho State fishing license required.

Intro to Fly Fishing for Kids
This fun and exciting class uses trained professionals to ensure the safety and great times for all kids ages 7 to 12. The skill set involved in fly fishing is both physical and cerebral, giving kids a real challenge. They will learn patience, creativity and an appreciation of their natural surroundings. Classes include full gear rental package and a snack.

Intro to Fly Fishing for Women
Let Julia Argyros untangle the mystery of fly fishing. Assisted by the women’s guide staff at Silver Creek Outfitters, Julia has designed a women’s fly fishing program with you in mind. Learn all the basics of fly angling or brush up on your current skills, then spend the afternoon on the river with professional guides. Classes include full gear rental package, continental breakfast, catered meals and all classroom materials. Idaho State fishing license required.
Thursday & Friday: June 19-20

Cost: $600 ($100 deposit is required to confirm your reservation.)
Free Casting Clinic
Every Monday night, all summer long, Silver Creek Outfitters offers a free casting clinic. The clinic has been a launching point to many a fine angler’s fly fishing life. Receive free instruction from some of the west’s premiere casting instructors with the aid of Silver Creek’s staff. Families, friends and individuals are welcome. The class can be the starting point of a fishing hobby, an early season tune-up or an opportunity to really hone your skills.
