All things must come to an end, even ski season. With one last weekend on Baldy, there isn't much else to do but ski in silly costumes and celebrate a fabulous winter.
Thursday
If you work in Hailey head to the Hailey Chamber's Business After Hours and celebrate the Sotheby International and Allstate Insurance Grand Opening from 5-7pm. Eat, drink and be merry; it is almost Friday! Or, get certified in CPR at St. Luke's. Learn to use use an automated external defibrillator and more from 6-9pm at the St Luke’s River Run Room. Pre-register 208-727-8733.
Friday
Stop by Sun Valley Center for the Arts in Ketchum for the opening of its latest show, The Idaho Triennial. Organized by the Boise Art Museum, this traveling exhibit features contemporary work by 25 artists. Like all SVCA collections, this show is sure to be a great one.
Saturday
Being that it is the second to last day of ski season, we suggest you get on Baldy, preferably in costume. Then head to the Last Tracks Bash street party at Apple’s in Warm Springs. Enjoy tots, $1 beers and live music by the Cosmic Beans. Come snow, rain or shine there is no better way to end the season.
Sunday
If you had enough of the mountain this season, which we doubt to be the case, then suck it up and head to the slopes for one last hurrah. Wear a silly one-piece or a tutu or whatever your heart desires and frolic in the remains of Sun Valley’s winter wonderland.
Last MNN Show
With the end of ski season also comes the end of Plum’s signature program, the MorningNoon&Night show. This season we had the pleasure of interviewing some of Sun Valley’s finest locals and visitors such as adventurer Karl Bushby, world-class climber Erik Weihenmayer and musical sensation Sheryll Mae Grace, just to name a few. This Sunday sit back, relax and enjoy our final set with Sam Gappmayer of Sun Valley Center for the Arts, Craig Barry of the Environmental Resource Center and Rob Cronin of Camp Rainbow Gold. Show starts at 8am with weather updates live from River Run Lodge starting at 7:30am.
