Plum's David Kuhn sat down with professional skier Paul Carson and his healer, Rodney Blount, to talk about Paul's battle with stage four lung cancer and his life in Sun Valley.
It was great to hear of another's experience with Rodney. Several years ago I had severe back pain and had seen every type of doctor for treatment; acupuncture, epidurals, everything. Nothing worked. I wasn't about to have surgery. I "ran into" Rodney in Maui and the same day I saw and talked with him my back pain went away. 2 hours of talking with me and he ever so lightly touched the back of my neck and the pain left and never returned. That was over 6 years ago. About 3 years ago I went thru a severe depression. I was unable to meet with Rodney in person so I talked with him over the phone. He told me how to take that black darkness inside me and "throw it away". I did exactly what he said. It returned but in a much lesser degree and whenever I felt the darkness coming I would throw it up and away. It has not returned. He heals the mental as well as the physical. Thank you, Rodney.
Sincerely,
Marcia Johnson
Thank you. I am Paul's brother and needless to say I am extremely grateful to Rodney. I have never met him except through your excellent video interview. By sharing these stories you are helping to inspire us all to look inside ourselves to find the conviction and courage to face our challenges. Our collective challenges will be overcome as we emerge into an understanding of interconnectedness with each other, and all our relations plant, animal, and cosmic. Thanks again for your contribution.
A very moving, inspirational and humbling story.
I found your interview totally by accident: while watching the Olympic Beach Volleyball finals, I remembered back to the 1980's, and what Paul & Cathy Carson did for the sport at that time, and thought I might reconnect with them via the internet and congratulate them on being the catalysts for this sport's rise to the world stage. By creating and running world class pro beach volleyball events with real sponsors, national publicity, and large purses, they took the sport from a small, cult-ish curiosity to a professional sports league and set the stage for international expansion and its eventual inclusion as a legitimate and exciting Olympic event.
Not at all surprising that Paul could battle cancer with a world class attitude as well, and much relieved that its in remission. Wishing you well Paul. Thanks for sharing your story.
Unable to help spiritually like my brother at this time in my life, I still feel the need to help how ever I can. If it's to make you laugh, or with some work you can't do your self, whatever! I try to over look my troubles and help. my brother has been and always be my Curandero. I am not overly religous, but very spiritoul, and when I'm busy I put myself in auto prayer mode for anyone I meet that needs god and a little push from someone like my brother. I have physical ailments myself and my mother used to tell me to contact my brother for help, my responce was I'm at peace, If I need him enough he'll be there for me, I say let him help others. And from time to time get some well deserved sleep!! Thanks to all who trust Rodney, not just for yourself but for all that is good in life. He is not hero YOU ARE. Love and God Bless John Ross
